Le pasteur Jacobus "Bruno" Spruit O.F.M. a reçu à l'occasion de son jubilé d'or en 1934 une statue du Sacré-Cœur offerte par les paroissiens. La statue a été inaugurée l'année suivante, le dimanche 30 juin 1935, et est placée à côté de l'entrée de l'église monumentale Saint-Judoc.
La statue représente une figure du Christ en marbre à taille réelle, vêtue d'un drapé. Il pointe avec son index gauche vers le Sacré-Cœur flamboyant sur sa poitrine. Son bras droit est le long de son corps, avec la paume tourné vers l'avant. La statue repose sur un socle, sur lequel est inscrite une inscription avec le texte
