À côté du Noorderbos, les 46 premiers arbres de la Forêt de Naissance ont été plantés en 2007. La Forêt de Naissance doit symboliser que tous les enfants ont le droit de grandir dans un environnement sain. Les parents décident eux-mêmes s'ils souhaitent acheter un arbre. Pour chaque cuvée, les noms des nouveau-nés sont mentionnés sur des plaques dans la forêt. Ce qui est particulier dans la Forêt de Naissance de Tilburg, c'est qu'elle est liée à une forêt similaire à Matagalpa. Pour chaque arbre à Tilburg, un arbre est planté dans la ville jumelée au Nicaragua. La Fondation Nationale du Jour de l'Arbre a commencé en 1990 à planter des arbres pour de nouveaux citoyens du monde dans les Forêts de Naissance.
