La chiesa di Saint-Médard fu ceduta intorno al 1175 dai conti di Duras all'ordine ospedaliero di San Giovanni di Gerusalemme.
L'attuale chiesa in stile gotico è stata costruita con materiali da costruzione locali (gres e calcare).
Il coro con un'abside semicircolare e all'esterno un rialzo con due livelli con finestre basse ad arco sotto una loggia muraria, e il transetto che si apre su due cappelle absidali, conservano ancora un'influenza romanica.
La costruzione fu completata all'inizio del XIV secolo con le alte parti della navata e della torre.
Solo le volte delle navate laterali e delle cappelle absidali sono originali. Quelle della navata principale e del transetto risalgono al 1759.
