Gouvy è un comune e un villaggio nella provincia belga di Lussemburgo. Il comune conta poco più di 5.000 abitanti.
Alla fine dell'ancien régime Gouvy divenne un comune. Nel 1823, durante le riorganizzazioni comunali in Lussemburgo, molti piccoli comuni furono uniti e Gouvy fu soppresso e unito al comune di Limerlé. Nel 1823 i nuclei di Limerlé e Gouvy erano infatti all'incirca della stessa grandezza. Il 20 febbraio 1867 fu aperta nella comunità di Limerlé, appena a est del villaggio di Gouvy, la stazione ferroviaria di Gouvy sulla nuova linea 42 tra Trois-Ponts e Troisvierges. Il 26 ottobre 1885 la linea verso Bastogne fu aperta fino a Libramont. Durante la Prima Guerra Mondiale, questa linea fu estesa fino a Sankt-Vith, permettendo all'occupante tedesco di inviare materiale bellico al fronte nel sud-ovest.
