Castello con donjon medievale, ampliamento del XVI secolo e adattamenti del XVII e XIX secolo, strettamente legato alla storia del comune e situato sulla riva nord del Grande Nete. Acquedotto nato e cresciuto attorno a un rafforzamento "nobile" con donjon o torre residenziale, situato ai margini di un parco alberato (circa 60 ettari) con laghi, prati, viali, sentieri, un giardino francese simmetrico e un parco inglese meno formale separati tra loro dal Grande Nete. La posizione del castello risale a un sito strategico, ossia a un affioramento sabbioso nelle paludi a nord del Grande Nete; non ci sono prove archeologiche di un insediamento gallo-romano o franchi.
