Vista dalla Molenstraat sui campi di Hagelend, a maggio. All'altezza della Molenstraat a Rillaar si verificavano frequentemente allagamenti di acqua e fango nei giardini, nelle abitazioni e per strada. Nel giugno 2016, durante forti temporali, si è verificata una vera e propria frana di fango fino al centro di Rillaar. Per questo motivo sono state costruite due dighe di trucioli di legno. Le dighe di trucioli di legno sono costruzioni semplici ed economiche che sono molto efficaci. Con pali di legno, rete metallica e trucioli di legno viene costruito un muro che trattiene le particelle di fango e consente un passaggio ritardato dell'acqua.
