L'edificio dell'aeroporto di Deurne è stato costruito tra il 1929 e il 1932. L'architetto Stanislas Jasinsky ha realizzato un design in Nuova Oggettività. A sinistra dell'edificio dell'aeroporto troverai il Museo Stampe & Vertongen. Questo museo accogliente ruota attorno all'aviazione. Deve il suo nome a Jean Stampe e Maurice Vertongen, i fondatori di una scuola di volo e di una fabbrica di aerei.
Oltre a molti oggetti legati all'aviazione, nel museo puoi trovare anche una bomba V1 e una simulazione delle precedenti fabbriche di aerei. Ma ciò che conta davvero sono naturalmente gli aerei storici che si trovano nel museo.
