Questo ex monastero "de hoop" del 1884 conteneva anche una scuola. Dal 1938 nell'ex orto del monastero esiste anche una Grotta di Lourdes .
I ragazzi e le ragazze erano nettamente separati da un muro. Nel 1913 cadde in rovina e fu sostituito da un muretto con cancelli in ferro. I ragazzi e le ragazze ora potevano vedersi... Nel 1970, questo muro e le recinzioni furono demolite e sostituite da una linea bianca... Ci vollero altri dieci anni prima che ragazzi e ragazze potessero giocare insieme.
La scuola chiuse i battenti nel 1985.
La città di Tielt, che l'ha acquistata nel 2004, ha reso il sito più attraente dal 2022. Il centro visitatori della cappella è una sala per riunioni, feste di famiglia e laboratori. C'è anche una bella brasserie con una piacevole terrazza.
Il frutteto sarà dotato di un percorso di arrampicata e di tavoli per i picnic.
