Il Palais Forestier è opera dell'architetto brussellese Henri Van Massenhove e fu costruito nel 1901.
Dopo che nel 1891 si decise di trasformare la zona smilitarizzata della cittadella in un luogo di villeggiatura e l'immenso altipiano del castello in un mirabile parco, intersecato da bellissime passeggiate, punteggiato da aree di sosta, boschetti, chioschi...
Alcuni anni dopo, il Palais Forestier fu incluso in quel piano. Fu costruito nel 1901 in occasione di un concorso agricolo regionale (previsto per un'esposizione internazionale) per ospitare i dipartimenti delle Acque e Foreste e della Caccia e Pesca. Era l'unico edificio della mostra a essere conservato e in seguito sarebbe stato destinato a diventare un Museo forestale .
Dopo che l'edificio è stato recuperato al termine del contratto di locazione , la città di Namur ha iniziato a cercare un nuovo scopo e nel 2008 è stato inaugurato il nuovo Wedding Center.
