Insieme a Lourdes e Roma , il domaine marziale di Sugny possiede la “Scala Sancta” , una scala sacra.
La Scala Sacra è tradizionalmente identificata con la scala del palazzo di Ponzio Pilato, che si dice abbia salito Cristo.
La sua costruzione nel 1925 era sotto l'autorità papale e i fedeli salgono le scale in ginocchio in segno di penitenza.
Secondo la tradizione la scala originaria faceva parte del pretorio di Ponzio Pilato a Gerusalemme. Quindi Gesù ci sarebbe passato sopra nella sua passione. Secondo le leggende medievali, la scalinata fu portata da Gerusalemme a Roma da Sant'Elena, madre di Costantino il Grande, intorno al 326 . Si trova nel complesso dell'antico Palazzo Lateranense di fronte alla Basilica di San Giovanni in Laterano.
