Il castelletto di Altenburg è un castello nella città svizzera di Brugg. Si trova a circa 1 km a ovest della città vecchia nel quartiere di Altenburg, sulla sponda dell'Aare. Il castello ha origine in un accampamento romano, che fu costruito attorno al 370 d.C. Alla fine del X secolo era la prima residenza documentata degli Asburgo. Oggi l'area funge da ostello per la gioventù.
L'accampamento romano di Altenburg, uno dei tre castelli fluviali situati lungo l'Aare, fu costruito attorno all'anno 370 sotto l'imperatore Valentiniano I. Sorsero su un ripido promontorio roccioso alla curva del fiume ed era parte del limite Danubio-Iller-Reno. Tuttavia, alcuni ritrovamenti monetari suggeriscono che l'accampamento potrebbe essere stato costruito già all'inizio del IV secolo. Probabilmente proteggeva un luogo di carico, poiché il tratto successivo del fiume, a causa di numerose rocce, era difficile da attraversare per le chiatte. Inoltre, il fiume poteva essere facilmente attraversato in questo punto. Solo pochi anni dopo, tra il 401 e il 406, l'edificio fu nuovamente abbandonato.
