AzurePrendere l'auto o l'autopostale pubblico da Saas-Almagell fino alla diga di Mattmarksee (2200 m). Partenza da Mattmark (2208 m), capolinea della linea di autobus. Qui vi aspetta una facile escursione che vi porta lungo il lato ovest del lago fino a Distelalp. Da lì si torna al punto di partenza dell'escursione sul lato est del lago.
