Oybin è un comune nel distretto di Görlitz, situato nel sud-est della Sassonia al confine con la Repubblica Ceca.
Il luogo è capolinea della ferrovia a scartamento ridotto di Zittau a vapore e si trova ai piedi del monte Oybin in una conca formata dal Goldbach nelle montagne di Zittau. La frazione di Lückendorf è l'unico comune tedesco situato sul lato sud delle montagne. Le montagne circostanti sono l'Hochwald, il Töpfer, l'Ameisenberg, il Brandhöhe e il Scharfenstein.
