Loxstedt è un comune unificato nel distretto di Cuxhaven, in Bassa Sassonia. La sede comunale si trova nel villaggio di Loxstedt.
Il comune si trova a sud di Bremerhaven. È situato nella pianura nord-tedesca ed è caratterizzato da paesaggi di Geest, paludi e torbiere. All'interno del territorio comunale si trovano le aree protette Bülter See e Randmoore, Königsmoor, Neuenlander Außendeich, Stoteler Moor e Plackenmoor. A ovest, il comune è delimitato per 15 chilometri dal fiume Weser. A sud del centro abitato scorre la Lune, un piccolo affluente del Weser, attraverso il comune. Al confine meridionale del comune si trova la Drepte.
