Il comune si trova nella valle del Meno ed è circondato dai contrafforti dello Spessart e dell'Odenwald. Großheubach si trova lungo il sentiero del vino rosso francone. Più a nord, lungo il Meno, si trova il prossimo paese di Klingenberg am Main con la frazione di Röllfeld. Tra Röllfeld e Großheubach si trovava fino al 1778 la chiesa di San Michele. Probabilmente, l'insediamento corrispondente fu abbandonato nel periodo della Guerra dei Trent'anni, all'inizio del XVII secolo, circa nel 1630, a causa di un'epidemia di peste. Di fronte, sull'altra sponda del Meno, si trova Kleinheubach. Il punto topograficamente più alto del territorio comunale si trova a 439 m s.l.m. sulla vetta dell'Ospis a nord-est del paese, mentre il punto più basso si trova nel Meno a 120,5 m s.l.m.
