Hahn fu menzionata per la prima volta per iscritto nel 1261. Hahn apparteneva all'Abbazia di Kornelimünster e vi era una cappella dedicata a Maria. Durante il periodo francese, Hahn divenne parte del Dipartimento della Roër. Nel 1804 Hahn divenne una parrocchia autonoma e nel 1816 divenne prussiana e parte del comune di Walheim, il quale nel 1972 è diventato parte del comune unito di Aquisgrana.
