Windeck è un comune nell'est del distretto di Rhein-Sieg in Renania Settentrionale-Vestfalia. Qui vivono circa 18.864 abitanti su entrambi i lati del fiume Sieg. Il comune è stato creato nel 1969 tramite l'unione dei comuni di Herchen, Dattenfeld e Rosbach. È stato intitolato alla rovina del castello di Windeck.
Il comune si trova nel parco naturale del Bergisches Land nel triangolo Colonia–Bonn–Siegen.
I comuni vicini sono a ovest il comune di Eitorf e a nord-ovest il comune di Ruppichteroth, entrambi nel distretto di Rhein-Sieg. A nord, Windeck confina con la città di Waldbröl e il comune di Morsbach, nel distretto di Oberberg, a est con il comune associato di Hamm, a sud con il comune associato di Altenkirchen-Flammersfeld nel distretto di Altenkirchen in Renania-Palatinato.
