Il comune di Neunkirchen si trova al bordo sud-ovest del distretto di Neckar-Odenwald, nel paesaggio della "Piccola Odenwald", adiacente alla valle del Neckar, a un'altezza compresa tra 130 e 430 metri. Il territorio comunale si trova nel parco naturale della valle del Neckar-Odenwald. Non lontano a nord del paese sgorga il Schwarzbach.
