L'anfiteatro di Rysum è sepolto sulla cima di un tumulo. Sapevate che quest'anfiteatro possiede il più antico organo di chiesa suonabile del nord-ovest d'Europa, che è ancora in uno stato quasi originale? L'anfiteatro risale in parte al 14° secolo. Nel 15° secolo è stata costruita una nuova sala parrocchiale, per la quale il tufo della vecchia navata è stato in parte utilizzato. Il campanile dell'anfiteatro è stato ristrutturato nel 1585 e ha perso la sua guglia nel 1686. L'anfiteatro contiene una predica del 1801. L'organo dell'anfiteatro risale al 1457. Secondo la cronaca di Eggerik Beninga, l'organo è stato pagato dagli agricoltori di Rysum con le loro migliori vacche. Probabilmente è stato trasformato in organo a canne nel 1513.
