Il Burgstall Wichsenstein è il resto di un castello nobiliare distrutto su un ripido scoglio roccioso sopra il villaggio di Wichsenstein, nella circoscrizione di Forchheim, in Baviera. Il castello è completamente distrutto, non ci sono resti che ne testimoniano l'esistenza, la roccia del castello serve come punto panoramico.
Il Burgstall della Gipfelburg si trova nell'area centrale della Svizzera Francone, una parte dell'altopiano del Frankenjura, nel monumento naturalistico del Wichsensteiner Fels, una cima montuosa rocciosa a circa 587 m s.l.m. al margine settentrionale del villaggio di Wichsenstein, circa 20 metri sopra il villaggio e circa 60 metri a nord-nord-ovest della chiesa parrocchiale cattolica di Sankt Erhard e circa 15 chilometri a nord-est di Forchheim.
