Il Rauschenburg è un antico castello d'acqua situato nelle Lippewiesen al limite della piccola città di Olfen, nel circondario di Coesfeld, in Renania Settentrionale-Vestfalia. Il suo nome potrebbe derivare dal continuo rumore delle antiche rapide in questo punto della Lippe.
Il maniero Rauschenburg è stato menzionato per la prima volta nel 1050; il primo proprietario appare nel 1317 ed è un amministratore del vescovo Ludwig Landgrave di Hesse proveniente da Münster. Nel 1322, il vescovo di Colonia, Heinrich von Virneburg, e il vescovo di Münster stipularono un contratto per la costruzione di un ponte sul Lippe presso il Rauschenburg. Negli anni 1444 e 1498, questo contratto fu confermato nuovamente dai sovrani dell'epoca.
