Come Fridtjof-Nansen-Haus si indica oggi l'edificio Merkelstraße 4 a Göttingen. La casa fu costruita nel 1899/1900 per il produttore di tessuti Ferdinand Levin secondo il progetto degli architetti berlinesi Hans Grisebach e August Dinklage.
La villa ha una pianta di circa 750 m² e dispone di quattro piani, di cui due sono piani completi. Così si ottiene una superficie totale di 1850 m². Scale in marmo conducono all'atrio dell'edificio. Qui si notano colonne particolarmente decorate, così come le vetrate colorate progettate da Georg Karl Rohde di Brema. Un camino è affiancato da statue di leoni che portano il vecchio stemma di Göttingen, una G dorata. Nel seminterrato si trova una cucina decorata con piastrelle di Delft.
