La Bäumlersklippe è un promontorio roccioso nel Parco Nazionale Harz, a sud-ovest di Ilsenburg. Sebbene un tempo fosse un popolare punto panoramico, di cui rimangono segni di una recinzione, oggi l'ambiente è cresciuto attorno a faggi e abeti.
Il promontorio prende il nome dal cacciatore "Bäumler". Si dice che nel 1752 abbia accoltellato per gelosia suo stesso figlio e poi si sia gettato da questo promontorio nella dannazione. Questo dramma familiare leggendario è stato raccolto da Theodor Fontane e ha trovato la sua strada nel suo racconto "Ellernklipp".
