Il Teatro di Brema è un teatro cittadino e un teatro con quattro sezioni che comprende opera, prosa, danza e teatro per giovani nella città di Brema. I quattro spazi, situati all'interno di un isolato e architettonicamente collegati, formano i diversi palchi dell'istituzione. In totale, possono ospitare fino a 1249 spettatori. Nel campo dell'opera, il teatro collabora dal 1917 con l'orchestra Bremer Philharmoniker, fondata già nel 1820, della quale detiene una partecipazione del 22%. Il teatro ha guadagnato fama internazionale a partire dal 1962 durante la direzione di Kurt Hübner, che ha plasmato il "Stile Bremer" con produzioni teatrali innovative e avanguardistiche, trasformando il teatro in un laboratorio di esperimenti del panorama culturale tedesco.
