La stazione di smistamento di Wedau era un grande scalo merce a Duisburg-Wedau. È stata operativa dal 1890 al 2000 e nel 2006 è stata definitivamente chiusa.
Diverse sviluppi portarono alla costruzione della stazione di smistamento a Wedau. Da un lato, tra il 1880 e il 1886, le compagnie ferroviarie Rhinisch, Bergisch-Märkisch e Köln-Mindener furono nazionalizzate, rendendo superflue le precedenti linee parallele. Dall'altro lato, il traffico merci lungo il corridoio del Reno e nella regione della Ruhr era in costante aumento e le stazioni principali dovevano essere liberate. A sud della stazione centrale di Duisburg, lungo la linea ferroviaria Troisdorf–Mülheim-Speldorf, c'era un'area sufficientemente grande e libera.
