La Rödermühle si trova nell'ex corso d'acqua della Grande Röder a Saathain, una frazione del comune di Röderland nella Brandenburgo meridionale.
Come scrisse nel 1941 il sacerdote e storico Wolfgang Bastian in una lettera al proprietario del mulino Weber, la Rödermühle fu menzionata per la prima volta nel 16° secolo nei documenti feudali della signoria di Saathain. L'edificio fu ampliato nel 1932 a quattro piani e disponeva di un'appendice per il magazzino, nonché di una ruota a tazza larga tre metri con un diametro di 5,5 metri, tre cerchi in legno e palette di lamiera.
