Nella casa della cultura si svolgono i più importanti eventi della città. Con la Fiera dei Giardini del 2002 è stato creato un ulteriore sala a Eberswalde, che tuttavia, essendo un ex capannone industriale, ha una cattiva acustica. Per questo motivo eventi tradizionali come i giorni del carnevale di Eberswalde si tengono nella casa Schwärzetal.
