Il Litzenbach ha origine nel nord del Hohen Fläming tra i villaggi di Steinberg e Buckau nel comune di Buckautal. Si dirige a nord verso il Strepenbach e tramite questo verso il Buckau e infine verso l'Havel. È l'unico affluente del Strepenbach e scorre a sinistra di esso.
Il Flämingfließ, lungo oltre sei chilometri e per lo più naturale, nasce sul versante nord del Hohen Fläming a est del monte Petzer. Da lì, il torrente scorre inizialmente in direzione nord-ovest attraverso una palude torbosa. A ovest di Steinberg, il Litzenbach attraversa l'autostrada federale 2 e si piega verso nord o nord-est. Durante il percorso, il Litzenbach raccoglie l'acqua di alcuni fossati e ruscelli. Circa un chilometro prima della sua confluenza, c'è un piccolo canale di collegamento direttamente al Buckau. A nord-ovest di Glienecke, il Litzenbach si immette circa trenta metri prima del Buckau nel chiaramente più piccolo e breve Strepenbach.
