Il giardino degli Schwabe è il giardino conservato dell'ex proprietà della famiglia ebrea Schwabe a Varel.
La famiglia abitava in una casa d'angolo nella città bassa sassone fin dal primo quarto del XIX secolo e gestiva un ingrosso di tessuti e un grande magazzino. L'ultima generazione della famiglia Schwabe-Barlewin che viveva a Varel, Curt con sua moglie Frieda, nata Roseno, e i due figli Arthur David e Paul Jakob, fuggì negli Stati Uniti nel settembre / ottobre 1938, pochi giorni prima della Notte dei cristalli.
