Il Jade InnovationsZentrum si trova nella città nordica di Wilhelmshaven nello stato federale della Bassa Sassonia. Il JIZ è un punto di collegamento regionale per la rete tra scienza e industria, nonché un promotore di startup e insediamenti aziendali.
Il Jade InnovationsZentrum si trova in Emsstraße nel sud di Wilhelmshaven. È stato aperto all'inizio del 2006 con il nome di BioTechnologie Zentrum, all'epoca l'orientamento contenutistico era principalmente focalizzato su aziende e contenuti biotecnologici. Nel 2010 si è poi ampliato lo spettro a "Bio e/o Tecnologia" e il nome è stato cambiato in quello attuale. Fino alla fusione con WFG Wirtschaftsförderung in Wilhelmshaven GmbH nel 2014, il JIZ è stato diretto dalla Biosphere AG. Dal 2011, accanto ad aziende, anche gruppi di lavoro scientifici dell'Università Carl von Ossietzky di Oldenburg hanno sede nel centro.
