Il Castello Giallo, noto anche come Castello Giallo, è un castello montano abbandonato situato sul Monte Giallo a 628,4 m s.l.m. a nord-est del mercato di Heidenheim, nel distretto di Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen, in Baviera.
Le strutture del terrapieno chiamate Castello Giallo si trovano sul Monte Giallo, un promontorio che si estende verso nord-est dal Hahnenkamm. A ovest, nord, nord-est e sud, il Monte Giallo scende ripidamente, mentre a est e sud-ovest la salita è notevolmente più dolce, perciò questi erano i punti critici per la stabilità dell'intera area montuosa. Sull'estremità inferiore del plateau, a una distanza media di 100 m dai bordi del plateau, si erge una ripida placca di kalk bianco del Giurassico. Il plateau superiore ha una forma di base approssimativamente triangolare e misura 225 m da nord a sud e 275 m da est a ovest. Si eleva di circa 25 m sopra il plateau inferiore ed è naturalmente protetto da tutti i lati.
