Il Nonnenberg è una montagna parzialmente forestata situata tra Bad Tabarz e Waltershausen, frazione di Fischbach nel distretto di Gotha.
Con un'altezza di 439,7 m sul livello del mare, il Nonnenberg forma il limite orientale della valle dell'Emse nel territorio comunale. La cima orientale è contrassegnata nelle carte come "Wachkuppe" e ha un'altezza di 475,9 m sul livello del mare. Con il nome di Nonnenberg era anche conosciuta una fila di case situata immediatamente a nord-est della località di Cabarz, probabilmente sorto in relazione al grande incendio di Tabarz del 1821, che per un periodo ha ottenuto la propria indipendenza politica ma è stata già incorporata nel comune di Cabarz nel 1866.
