La chiesa evangelica di San Maurizio a Kernen im Remstal si trova nel centro abitato della frazione di Rommelshausen. Si trova nelle immediate vicinanze del vecchio municipio e del cortile della parrocchia.
Rommelskirchen era già una parrocchia nel 1275, già nel 1408 è documentata un chiesa dedicata a san Maurizio. Il coro della torre, la parte più antica dell'attuale chiesa, è stato costruito già in precedenza, presumibilmente nel XIV secolo. Con la Riforma nel Ducato di Württemberg nel 1534, la chiesa divenne evangelica.
