Rückersdorf è un ex villaggio autonomo, che dal 1994 fece parte del nuovo comune di Hohwald e nel 2007 divenne una frazione di Neustadt in Sassonia nel Landkreis della Svizzera Sassone-Osterzgebirge.
Rückersdorf si trova tra il Hohwald e la pianura settentrionale del massiccio montuoso della sabbia d'Elba. Le città vicine sono Neustadt in Sassonia e Stolpen. È circondato da tre rilievi: a nord dal Tannenberg alto 436 metri, a est dal Wachberg alto 437 metri e a sud-ovest dall'Haselberg alto 380 metri. Nel villaggio scorre il ruscello Rückersdorfer, noto anche come Losse, che si immette nel Polenz.
