Thelenberg è una frazione del comune di Asbach nel distretto di Neuwied nella regione del Renania-Palatinato settentrionale. Il paese ha un'impronta agricola, ma si sta sempre più sviluppando come località residenziale nel senso di una comunità abitativa.
Il villaggio si trova nel Niederwesterwald a sud-ovest del centro principale di Asbach, su un'altura sopra e a est del Pfaffenbach. Thelenberg è raggiungibile solo tramite la strada provinciale 41, che collega il paese con la strada statale 255. Fa parte dell'area di Thelenberg anche il mulino di Thelenberg nella valle del Pfaffenbach, che si trova a circa 1 km dal paese.
