Kornelimünster/Walheim è uno dei sette distretti di Aachen. È il distretto più meridionale della città di Aachen e si trova al confine con il Belgio e l'Eifel. Il paesaggio è chiamato Münsterländchen.
Il distretto di Kornelimünster/Walheim è stato creato quando, nell'ambito della riforma territoriale del Nordreno-Vestfalia, sette comuni circostanti sono stati uniti ad Aachen ai sensi della legge di Aachen il 1° gennaio 1972, tra cui anche i precedenti comuni autonomi di Kornelimünster e Walheim. Mentre il comune di Walheim è stato incorporato interamente ad Aachen, alcune parti del comune di Kornelimünster, tra cui le località di Breinig e Venwegen, sono state aggregate alla città di Stolberg. Walheim e le parti di Kornelimünster incorporate ad Aachen formano da allora due delle aree di Aachen e sono state riunite con le aree di Lichtenbusch e Sief, che appartenevano già in precedenza ad Aachen, nel nuovo distretto di Kornelimünster/Walheim.
