L'area FFH Foreste presso Wyhlen in Baden-Württemberg è stata registrata nel 2005 presso il Regierungspräsidium di Friburgo. Con il decreto del Regierungspräsidium di Friburgo che stabilisce le aree di importanza comunitaria del 25 ottobre 2018, l'area protetta è stata designata.
L'area protetta di 693 ettari, Foreste presso Wyhlen, si trova nelle aree naturali dell'Alta Valle del Reno e del Dinkelberg. Si trova completamente nel distretto di Lörrach nei comuni di Inzlingen, Rheinfelden e Grenzach-Wyhlen.
