La costruzione del tempio in Danimarca è stata annunciata il 17 marzo 1999. Il 24 aprile 1999 il sito per il tempio a Frederiksberg è stato dedicato e si è tenuta una cerimonia di posa della prima pietra, presieduta da Spencer J. Condie. Circa 700 membri della chiesa della zona hanno partecipato alla cerimonia.
