La Terza Repubblica francese è lo Stato repubblicano nato in Francia dopo la sconfitta di Sedan durante la guerra franco-prussiana. Questa forma di governo, che sostituì quella del Secondo Impero, durò in Francia per quasi settant'anni, fino all'invasione tedesca del paese del 1940, quando fu a sua volta sostituita dal regime autoritario del cosiddetto Governo di Vichy.
