Il villaggio fortificato si sviluppava a cerchi concentrici, ancora ben visibili, intorno a un tumulo artificiale risultante dall'ammasso di terra dello scavo del fossato di difesa. Questa motta, citata nei testi a partire dal IX secolo, si erge per 12 metri di altezza, su una base di 40 metri, coronata dai resti di una torre poligonale in selce con incatenamento a bugnato ai bordi. Questo torrione (classificato come Monument Historique dal 1971) risale all'XI secolo e aveva due piani dove vivevano il signore e la sua famiglia. È l'unica torre fortificata dell'alto Medioevo ancora in piedi nel Loiret.
