Chienes è un comune italiano di 2 944 abitanti della provincia autonoma di Bolzano in Trentino-Alto Adige, situato nella val Pusteria.
Il paese di Chienes, ubicato nella parte nord-orientale della provincia di Bolzano, in prossimità del Parco naturale Vedrette di Ries-Aurina , nella bassa Val Pusteria, alle pendici del Monte Plat, confina con i comuni Selva dei Molini, Falzes, San Lorenzo di Sebato, Rodengo, Vandoies e Terento.
