Cartoceto è un comune italiano di 7 926 abitanti della provincia di Pesaro e Urbino nelle Marche.
Cartoceto si trova nella bassa valle del Metauro sulla sponda sinistra del fiume, a ridosso delle colline che circondano la vallata, ad una quota di 235 m s.l.m. Ad una distanza di circa 5 km si trova Lucrezia, popolosa frazione dedita alle attività industriali che occupa la sottile striscia di terra del territorio comunale che dai colli scende fino alle sponde del fiume. Cartoceto dista circa 15 km dalla città di Fano e quindi dalle coste del mare Adriatico facilmente raggiungibili grazie alla vicina via Flaminia.
