Madonna del Sasso è un comune italiano sparso di 369 abitanti della provincia del Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, posto sulla parte occidentale del Lago d'Orta. Il suo nome deriva dall'omonimo Santuario, costruito tra il 1730 e il 1748.
Creato con il regio decreto n. 174 del 29 gennaio 1928 che recita "Vittorio Emanuele III, per grazia di Dio e per volontà della Nazione Re d'Italia", decreta che "i comuni di Boleto e Artò, in provincia di Novara, sono riuniti in un unico comune denominato Madonna del Sasso con capoluogo Boleto."
