Urbania è un comune italiano di 6 829 abitanti della provincia di Pesaro e Urbino nelle Marche. Conosciuta fino al 1636 con il nome di Casteldurante, cambiò la propria denominazione in quella attuale in onore di papa Urbano VIII dopo esser stata elevata a città e diocesi.
Urbania è situata in una zona pianeggiante in fondo alla valle del fiume Metauro, circondata da colline. La zona del centro storico è circondata su tre lati da un'ansa del fiume Metauro, luogo noto fin dall'antichità proprio per la sua particolare conformazione e protezione naturale.
