Questo percorso inizia a Bormio e passa attraverso strade alternative al paese di Mazzo di Valtellina. In questo modo evitiamo la trafficata SS38. Da qui parte una delle salite più dure. Il pesante Passo del Mortirolo (chiamato anche Passo di Coppa) con una lunghezza di 12,4 km e una media del 10,5%. Un calvario severo con picchi fino al 18%. Dalla cima scendiamo e pedaliamo fino a Ponte di Legno. Da qui inizia la salita al Passo di Gavia. Una bella salita di 17,3 km e una media del 7,9%. Arrivare in cima è il Lago Bianco. Da qui si scende nuovamente a Bormio.
