La Via delle Genti da Verbania Intra al confine svizzero rappresentava l'antica strada di collegamento tra i paesi del Verbano e la Svizzera. La Via proseguiva poi in Svizzera lungo i paesi del Lago Maggiore fino a Locarno e poi nel piano di Magadino dove si collegava alla Via che saliva al Passo del San Gottardo. Il tratto da Verbania al Confine di stato si effettua in due piacevoli tappe fattibili tutto l'anno, fatto salvo nell'imminenza di nevicate. È un itinerario che si svolge a mezza costa sempre con splendida vista sul Lago Maggiore e che permette di attraversare piccoli paesini e la Riserva del Sacro Monte di Ghiffa, Patrimonio Unesco raggiungendo infine i meravigliosi borghi lacustri di Cannero e di Cannobio.
