Percorso in onore del ciclista Gino Bartali. Gino Bartali si è guadagnato il rispetto per il suo lavoro di aiuto agli ebrei perseguitati dai nazisti durante il periodo della Repubblica Sociale Italiana. Bartali usò la sua fama per portare messaggi e documenti alla Resistenza italiana. Bartali ha pedalato da Firenze attraverso la Toscana, l'Umbria e le Marche, a volte viaggiando fino a Roma, indossando la maglia da corsa con il suo nome. Né la polizia fascista né le truppe tedesche rischiarono il malcontento arrestandolo. Uno dei suoi percorsi era da Firenze ad Assissi. Questo non è il percorso esatto, ma un possibile percorso (o parti di esso) che ha preso (fonte info Wikipedia). Il percorso è stato verificato per tutte le sue parti utilizzando Google Streetview per verificare la qualità della superficie (asfaltata).
