Parco Nazionale De Weerribben (nominato nel 2004 come il posto più bello dei Paesi Bassi) è un eldorado per gli sportivi acquatici. Ma anche ciclisti e escursionisti possono muoversi liberamente. È un antico paesaggio di torbiere, che - quando la torba è stata estratta - si è trasformato in un'area naturale unica. Il Parco Nazionale De Weerribben è uno dei più belli 'wetlands' (zone umide) d'Europa. La flora e la fauna sono di una ricchezza senza precedenti.
