Maasvlakte 2 è il nome del progetto di espansione del porto di Rotterdam, situato a ovest della Maasvlakte. Con questa nuova area guadagnata sul mare, grande 2.000 ettari, il porto è aumentato del 20%. Al termine dell'espansione, i porti di Rotterdam copriranno un totale di 12.000 ettari. Il 1° settembre 2008, dopo anni di piani, discussioni e proteste, sono iniziati i lavori. Il 22 maggio 2013, la Seconda Maasvlakte è stata ufficialmente inaugurata.
