La Zuiderheide è un'area di brughiera tra Laren e Hilversum. L'area si estende dal Sint Janskerkhof verso la Valle dell'Eem. L'area è importante dal punto di vista archeologico e geologico. L'area è gestita dalla riserva naturale Goois.
I Zeven Bergjes è il nome dei tumuli funebri di circa quattromila anni fa. I tumuli si estendono sulla Zuiderheide e sulla adiacente Westerheide.
Nella parte meridionale della Zuiderheide si trovano alcuni stagni di brughiera che in passato venivano utilizzati per lavare le greggi presenti, da cui il nome Laarder Wasmeer. Qui la brughiera confina anche con Anna's Hoeve, un progetto di occupazione degli anni '30 del XX secolo, nell'area del comune di Hilversum.
